In the spring of 1997 Anthony Geary and Genie Francis
who are best known as Luke and Laura on the emmy award winning Soap General Hospital were inducted into the Soap
Opera Fame.
For both actors this was a tremendous honor,which also
thrilled their long time fans who watched them on the screen as our favourite soap super couple.
Luke and Laura were the best couple on daytime television,
may of us who were kids when we first started watching GH remember the Luke and Laura days of the 80's.
I remember running home from school after getting off the school bus just
to get home in time to watch General hospital.
Luke and Laura were the fabulous Spencers who embarked on adventures
each week and had me glued to the television set.
I also remember their famous weddding where Luke decked Scottie Baldwin
for crashing their nuptuals.
Coincidentally Luke and Laura's wedding got higher ratings than the real
life wedding of Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer.
